The song is about people losing their voices and opinions to the overwhelming masses of society. The video relates our meloncholy lives to the lifelessness of “ghosts” from the indifferent viewpoint of a security camera– the camera thus relating to technology and the whole theme of “digitalization.”
It’s not flashy, but I could care less. I love it.

I know Thrice isn’t much for showyness, or anything too gaudey, but really Thrice, where is the creativeness to this video? Perhaps I’m misunderstanding it in its entiredy, but this to me just seems lazy, in comparison to a fantastic and overwhelming song.
