This is actually a real beauty retouching tutorial showing the steps of how to do glamour photo retouching in Photoshop. The first few minutes shows how to use Mama’s Powder, an Action I sell for $25 from the Products section of my Web site, but 95% of this series shows various other retouching methods, masking techniques and how to use adjustment layers in Photoshop, which is ALL FREE if you have Photoshop.

    Sure use anything you like, just so it doesn’t look posterized and painterly, which is what surface blur does if you go too far.

    Sorry, didn’t mean to confuse you but you are incorrect. The regular healing brush does require the alt/option click to source a good point, which is plainly stated in the vid. I think you are confusing my tool with the Spot Healing brush, which I am NOT using. The Spot Healing brush does NOT require a manual sample. Note that this vid is using CS2 not CS3, where the tools are nested differently.

    I believe she might have made a mistake on this video. She is using the healing brush at the end of the video, and that does not require a manual sample. What tool she thinks she’s using is the clone tool, under the healing tool. Just thought I would spot that out so other weren’t confused.

    I made the powder action from my own invention of particular steps and formulas and and I sell it on my Web site. Hope that answers your question.

    I use Adobe Photoshop. This vid was done in Photoshop CS2 but I am now using Photoshop CS3.
    The Mama’s Powder Action I use for the base skin is an Action that I sell on my Website for the Photoshop program. Hope this helps.
