    Actually,that is …
Actually, that is not all true. The big thing that limits SSD’s are small, less than 20KB files, which in some installations can number in the hundreds to thousands. This SEVERELY gives the idea that SSD’s as a whole are slow when the user, who is under the idea of 160MB’s per second read, takes almost aslong as friend with his 1TB WD or Samsung.

    but so much more …
but so much more unstable. and if u get the cheap kind, they can actually malfunction alot and be slower than a regular 7200 rpm drive. SSDs are kind of iffy right now, but they are getting a lot better.

    Fastest hard drive …
Fastest hard drive is only partially true. It has the fastest write times but not the fastest read times. If you want the fastest read times you need a solid state drive.

    first of all, you …
first of all, you need at least three drives for raid 5, or two if you partition a drive, but I wouldn’t go that route

and backplane ready means that if your case or drive cages have a back plane, the drive can slide right in on rails or some other mount and slot right into the backplane like a cartridge. if a drive isn’t backplane ready, you can’t have a backplane and you need to run the cables from the drives to the motherboard every single time you put a drive into your case

    ssd’s are faster …
ssd’s are faster but not worth it currently. they barely beat the raptors. wouldnt say ssd’s are “blowing raptors out of the water”
