My friend's laptop tv tuner and small antenna receives digital tv in my home, but when I bought a digital TV it didn't receive anything so I returned it. Apparently some digital tv tuners are better/stronger than others but how can you know?
take a guess at a good brand i have a samsung tv with freeview built in and that isnt as good as my sony play tv (like sky plus for ps3)

Okay so I need a new digital camera. I want one with at least 10-12 megapixels, 2.5-3 inch lcd screen and very thin. What camera is best for not a ton of money but is still a really good, reliable camera? Thanks!
Don't buy into the hype of megapixels. YOu need to understand, there is a LOT more to picture quality than megapixels - for example shutter speed, aperture options etc.
Megapixels are something that a lot of manufacturers bump up to up the cost of their cameras - but believe me, if you're a 'point and shoot' type, 6, 7, 8 MP is plenty - and it will save money so that you can buy a higher end camera with that number of megapixels, rather than a piece of junk with the 10-12 you were originally looking for.
Read the geek pages (gizmodo, engadget), search for megapixels and you'll find a million articles talking about how NOT important MPs are above a certain point, unless you really want to be a professional photographer - in which case point and shoot is not what you want, nor is thin - you'll want the biggest, most badass SLR you can find (lenses for those are commonly 1000+ for just the lens).

I already have used an Olympus D-425 and I'm looking for a decent digital cam around $200 or so.
The guy who said X10, I think he meant F10. I have an F10 and it's very good so I concur. It has good battery life and good performance in low light. It's only $120, but it's discontinued so you'll have to get it off ebay. One if it's sequels (like the F30) would be good too.

I really want a digital slr camera, but I don't want to spend a fortune, I've been looking at used ones, and refurbished but they're all so expensive! I've been manly looking at getting a canon EOS rebel xs. Is that a decent camera? I currently have a canon regular digital camera and I love it.
With DSLR's your buying into a system and Canon is far and away the most expensive, closely followed by Nikon.
Pentax, Olympus and Sony have many more features. They may be more expensive initially, but a soon as you start adding lenses, flashguns etc. they work out much cheaper for the same or Higher quality. You finish with a much more useful system for less money.
Things to look for are a bright viewfinder, good build quality, adjustments of everyday things such as EV value, focus point, metering mode etc. without having to go into a menu. These are basic to using your camera for anything other than 'point and shoot'.
Pentax and Sony offer image stabilisation in camera, so every lens you fit is image stabilised without a price premium. Pentax in particular have a massive range of older high quality lenses available for very little, all will be image stabilised.
A second hand Pentax DS, which is now 5 years old, would be available at a lower price than a Nikon D40 or Canon Rebel, and is much more of a camera than either of them, it has a genuine pentaprism in the viewfinder which means a brighter image, much better build quality, the same Sony sensor that was used on the Nikon D80. The only downside is the lack of image stabilisation. Like all Pentax DSLR's it can operate as a 'focus trap' which no other make of DSLR can do.

I can't afford a dslr, so I'm thinking about getting an advanced digital camera. What can an advanced digital camera do that is similar to a dslr? And what can an advanced digital camera do that a regular digital point-and-shoot can't? Thanks in advance.
The advanced cameras will offer aperture priority, and shutter priority, and manual (ASM) modes. This allows you to control your camera to obtain certain artistic effects or shoot in difficult lighting conditions. Small P&S cameras usually don't have the ASM modes, DSLR's have ASM modes. The advanced P&S cameras usually have more zoom range over the small P&S cameras.
The main difference between any P&S camera and a DSLR is the physical sensor size and interchangeable lenses. Due to sensor size, a dinky P&S and a advanced P&S won't have much difference in image quality due to the small sensors. There is a noticeable difference between P&S and DSLR in image quality due to sensor size. Most DSLRs don't have video mode or live view, but that is changing.
